CONSORTIUM & CAPSTONE PROGRAMS

OPENING THE DOOR FOR MORE OPPORTUNITIES

We’re proud to partner and collaborate with other higher education programs to allow our students to further enahance and diversify their education. Together, we work together to achieve a common objective: help our students lay the foundation for future success.

WHO WE’RE PARTNERED WITH:

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Students choosing to practice in some states are required to earn a bachelor’s degree as the minimum level of education. Accordingly, PIMS has articulation agreements with the schools listed below to assist students in fulfilling a bachelor’s requirement through these colleges and universities. In short, college credit for training received at Pittsburgh Institute is given and applied toward the educational requirements for each school listed below. The cooperative bachelor programs between PIMS and the school listed may be done on campus or in some cases, online. Specific information on these unique programs can be obtained by talking with the PIMS advisement team or directly contacting those listed below.

Important Things to Note:

You will need to fill out a regular application plus the Consortium application to be a part of the program.

→ You will need to notify your home institution that you have enrolled at PIMS and complete all of their necessary paperwork as well.

→ If you’re planning on utilizing financial aid at your home institution, notify the PIMS Financial Aid office.

→ Notify the PIMS Registrar when final transcripts are needed for the home institution.

What you want out of your education is important! Some students prefer to earn a bachelor’s degree even if their state does not require it. Talk to our admissions advisor to figure out your ideal educational experience. Do you want to have the university/college experience of campus living and extracurricular activities before committing to funeral service? Or do you want to earn your funeral service credentials and feel the connection to our industry then finalize your credentials at a college or university? Either way, we will help you find your path.

If you attend Gannon, Thiel, PennWest, or Point Park first, they will handle financial aid eligibility, processing, and disbursement as you are considered a guest student at PIMS, and those institutions will be your home school. Please consult your financial aid advisor for more information.
