Our Alumni Are The Best

You’ll never be dead to us

You may no longer be a “student” here, but we’re still dedicated to your success. Here are just a few things you should know:

  • PIMS is constantly rethinking how to best train our future funeral service professionals
  • We look to our community of alumni to consider stepping forward to be mentors and preceptors to help us further our mission
  • We work to keep the legacy we have built for over 75 years with thousands of graduates

Please share your story with us or contact the PIMS Administration if you would like to become more involved in the PIMS community.

Meet Lisa!

After a long career with the Pittsburgh Police Department, Lisa decided to pursue a new path. In 2005, after graduating from PIMS, she became a licensed Funeral Director. She wanted to do something to help families in one of their greatest times of need and took a strong interest in restorative art. She took pride in providing families with comfort as her goal was to make deceased loved ones look as they did in life whenever possible. Lisa’s professional skills were greatly influenced by teachings from M Roger Walker, Dr Barry T Lease and Dr. Joseph Marsaglia Jr., all three of whom she considers mentors.

OK, now it’s YOUR turn! We’d love to feature you on the site. Share your story with us and let us know what you’re doing post-graduation now.
