Travel includes regular trips around Lucas County and surrounding counties, including into Michigan. May also include travel of 3+ hours or more one way. We operate 24/7 365 days a year. Day and Night and Holidays. THIS IS A CONTRACTOR POSITION. Applicant Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age with a CLEAN driving record. HEAVY LIFTING REQUIRED Professional Business Attire Required. Have great communication skills. Must be reliable with a valid Ohio drivers license. Must be able to work days, nights and weekends.(odd hours/on call) Ability to follow instructions given over the phone or in person. Ability to follow directions, policies, and procedures with minimal supervision. Ability to work well with others and a shift partner. Tasks & Duties: Transporting decedents from place of death to their assigned Mortuary/Funeral Home/Coroner’s Office Interacting with families and nurse/hospice nurse/site personnel to gather information. Interacting with various state agency personnel. Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle and grounds. Must be able to keep detailed records of all transports.
