Dr. Barry Lease was appointed the new President and Chief Executive Officer of PIMS. Dr. Lease’s new role was effective beginning on April 2, 2023.

Dr. Lease was a student at the Institute in the 1980s. He initially joined the team as a part-time Clinical Embalming instructor and has been passionate about the school ever since.

“I love this place. It’s an honor to be at a place that doesn’t feel like work. You come in everyday and feel like you’re a student again,” he said.

Previously, Dr. Lease was the Institute’s Program Director and Chief Operating Officer. He is also a member of the Board of Directors, where he oversees the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiative.

In his free time, he has a passion for thoroughbred horse racing, which is where his mantra of “Riders Up” comes from.
