PIMS is in the process of completely re-vamping the Restorative Art Lab experience for campus and DE students. PIMS contracted with a Nashville special effects artist to build synthetic heads with the feel of “embalmed tissue”—these heads have been designed with traumatic or pathological injury (an example of each is presented in this letter) enabling the students to perform restoration/waxwork that is more consistent with actual field experience. January’s class will be the first to enjoy this hands-on experience!

Dr. Joe Marsaglia, PIMS Dean Emeritus, recently traveled to Washington, D.C., to participate in Wreaths Across America - Official Page activities. While there, he placed wreaths on the graves of veterans at Arlington National Cemetery, paying tribute to their service and sacrifice.
A truly special moment of the trip was when Dr. Marsaglia was honored to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on Friday, December 13. He described the experience as humbling, deeply moving, and an incredible honor.
We thank Dr. Marsaglia for representing PIMS in such a meaningful way and for helping to honor our nation's heroes this holiday season. 🌟
